Paul
Briggs Architect, a sole proprietorship was established in September, 1969.
For 40+ years of practice, Paul Briggs Architect has been the direct
contact and manager for countless projects in all phases of design with the
assistance of in house associates and outside
consultants. Design philosophies center around direct communication and
continuous involvement to make sure a project is a success. The early Paul
Briggs Architect practice centered around school, college construction, and
civic institutions. Later the practice comprised of projects such as
Lexington State Bank’s multiple story addition and Richard Childress Racing
Shop in Welcome, NC. Recent projects center around up-fits,
master-planning, renovations and additions for “in” and “out of state” clients.
Mr. Briggs and his practice utilizes the latest architectural tool sets
including project, code and reference libraries, digital representation and
communication technologies including phone, emails, internet, AutoCAD,
Photoshop, Sketchup3D and in-house large sheet scanning and printing.

Mr. Briggs is a licensed and insured Architect celebrating 50 years of practice this year
2019! He was registered as an Architect in 1969 and a graduate of
NC State in 1963. His accomplishments as an architect are demonstrated by
his successful management of an architectural practice for 50
years and his completed projects. Highlights of his achievements include
designing Davidson County schools K-12 through the 1990s. Mr. Briggs is
passionate about assisting non- profit organizations with their
architectural project endeavors demonstrated by his work for religious
institutions. He has aided commercial businesses in their growth and
success including names such as RCR racing, Deere Hitachi, May Heavy
Equipment, Charlotte Pipe, Kubota, Carter lumber, Ilderton
Dodge . Each of his completed projects have a
character such that the organization’s goals and endeavors shine through.
Mr. Briggs is a seasoned architect with a wealth of experiences and a
desire to continue making a difference in our communities. He is a
businessman, well spoken and possesses modern
architectural representation skill sets. Mr. Briggs is registered to
practice architecture in NC, SC, VA, MD, MN, PA, FL, SD & GA. What better way to celebrate 50

Brandon S. Everhart, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP
(Architect)

Mr. Everhart is an experienced Newly Licensed Architect (May 15, 2019) whose accomplishments reflect
strengths in architecture, engineering, design, construction,
sustainability, digital representation, problem-solving and project
management skills. Mr. Everhart is a graduate of UNCC in 2007 with a
Bachelor of Architecture. His experience includes hands on construction
experience, employment at Greensboro Architectural firm J. Hyatt Hammond
Associates and work as an independent design contractor. Mr. Everhart has
completed many project renovations, up-fits and code assessments while at
J. Hyatt Hammond. As a design contractor he managed a UNCSA repair project
for J. Hyatt Hammond. Concepts of environmental sustainability are
important to Mr. Everhart demonstrated by the work done on his home and his
recent certification as a LEED AP. He is an accomplished architectural
detailer, project manual writer, and Sketchup3D expert. A successful comprehensive
project management experience for Mr. Everhart included work on a historic
industrial building for Bennett College for Women in Greensboro. It was
requested to turn the century old masonry boiler house into a classroom and
office setting for the video broadcasting field. Project complexities
included feasibility studies, cost estimation, programming, compact space
planning, building, shell performance and accessibility improvements,
attention to historical attributes, hazardous material abatements,
demolition, new and phased construction and all new MEP. In the end the
project was praised as a success by the college. Interior and exterior
spaces are delightfully day lit with tangible historic, contemporary and
functional details carefully integrated. Brandon’s recent co-work with Paul has included
May Heavy Equipment, commercial pre-engineered, residential, and churches
including Wayside Baptist Church-LexingtonNC, and
Christ the King Lutheran Church-CaryNC.
